THERE’S A NUT FOR EVERY BOLT – BETTER AND FASTER STAFFING THROUGH MATCHING
WAS HELD ON: July 13, 2022 3:00 pm CET
WAS HELD ON: July 13, 2022 3:00 pm CET
Staffing is a traditional HR topic, but today more relevant than ever. Digitalisation, flexible work models, employees seeking more participation and, last but not least, COVID19 present HR departments with a host of new challenges and call for new approaches. Such an approach is matching theory, an economic theory which was awarded with the 2012 Nobel Prize. Insights from matching theory are applied in various fields today, but are little known in HR. If you are looking for a kindergarten for your child, need an organ transplant, or are applying for a job at Google, the underlying assignment process could be based on matching theory, without you knowing it. Matching theory is used here in order to create better and fairer matchings in less time for the benefit of all participants. This raised a natural question: Why shouldn't we apply this proven methodology to labour markets in order to achieve better results? In our webinar, we will - look into some examples of successful applications of matching theory - explain the basic concepts - and discuss where and how this can be used in HR to make better staffing decisions. In addition we will present a lighthouse case in which we used matching theory at a DAX-company to jointly design an internal job market.

Smart data and real insights instead of transactional facts

In the age of big data harvesting a huge amount of data is cheaper & easier than ever before in all areas of business, also in Procurement. This shifts the current focus very much on the quantity of the data and it is easy to lose sight of the quality and potential strategic insights altogether. An ocean of transactional data rarely provided strategic insights though. In this webinar we would like to discuss the four key challenges when collecting strategic data in Procurement and what you can do to get your company a step ahead of the competition.
